Philippine Cinnamon Plant Development

Sharing pictures of the Philippine cinnamon plant development of Mr. Julito Yranela in Agusan Del Sur. He bought the seedlings (around 1 foot) from us on Dec 2018, and today, Feb 2021 (after 2 years), the trees are already more than 6 feet tall. No special planting protocol; I see that he correctly planted it in partly shaded area. He shares that his Mom enjoys drinking tea from the leaves. I encouraged him to explore getting into lechon production stuffed with Philippine cinnamon leaves, as they do in Cebu. (In Negros, we also use batwan or libas.) Philippine cinnamon is antibacterial to help ensure that the lechon is clean and will last longer.

Be sure to plant your own Philippine cinnamon at home, as part of your container gardening, or in the ground, at home or in the farm, as food and medicine. Message us for the seedlings! #conservation #livelihood #health #local
