Philippine Cinnamon vs BayLeaf
Many ask if cinnamon is the same as laurel or bay leaf because both are use as spice in cooking Adobo. (kidding aside.) Seriously, it has a lot of difference but both belongs to Lauraceae family.
Sharing the basic information on the cinnamon from the presentation of Dr. Jay Picardal at the Philippine-American Academy of Science & Engineering (PAASE) online conference last July 21, 2020. Slide 8 of 41. Cinnamon kills E. Coli bacterium in food, especially in meats. Food with cinnamon last longer than normal spice.
Be sure to plant the Philippine cinnamon in your home, garden, or farm today, in a pot or on the ground, for endless supply of the leaves for your adobo, humba, lechon, atbp. #conservation#livelihood#health
